EDMOND—Approximately 60 Herbert W. Armstrong College students watched the Planet Earth II documentary in a classroom at the Barbara Flurry Memorial Hall on September 24. The event started off the last week of school before everyone began traveling for the Feast of Tabernacles.
The cinematography of bright colored landscapes and unique creatures included komodo dragons whipping their tails and clashing over territory in slow motion as students watched with wide eyes and spoonfuls of cereal half way up to their mouths.
Cheering could be heard down the hall as one scene showed hatchling iguanas trying to escape a pit of racer snakes.
“There’s nothing as exciting as watching a lizard leap for its life,” college sophomore Julia Goddard said.
College junior George Haddad said the showing was “a wholesome way for the whole college to get together and enjoy each other’s company.”
