EDMOND—Subscribers to the Trumpet Weekly e-mail newsletter got a surprise on March 16: their first issue of Trumpet Brief. The new e-mail newsletter arrives every weekday and replaces the Trumpet Weekly.

On Tuesdays and Fridays, the newsletter provides a news digest that highlights and summarizes several articles from theTrumpet.com. Combined, these replace the Trumpet Weekly. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, theTrumpet.com editors send out short messages regarding the website; news about the work of the Church; or analysis of news trends, including promotions of relevant Trumpet website articles or pcg literature.

TheTrumpet.com executive editor Stephen Flurry said that although the Trumpet Brief won’t be as comprehensive as the Trumpet Weekly, it will draw more attention to the website. Mr. Flurry also says that theTrumpet.com staff likes the potential the Trumpet Brief gives for “building a stronger relationship with our subscribers through more e-mail contact.”
