MINNESOTA—After a week of hot, stormy days, the Minnesota members of the Philadelphia Church of God gathered on a calm, sunny day on August 14 for a picnic at Como Park in St. Paul.

Squirrels scampered, birds sang, and butterflies flew near the picnic pavilion. Following a barbecue, members continued their conversation over board games and activities including a water balloon toss, bocce ball, mini golf, carnival rides, and a tour of the nearby public zoo and botanical gardens.

Member Melody Aldrich said, “Being able to be together with God’s family in such a beautiful setting is what really made the day special.”
