PHILIPPINES—On September 1, 25 Philadelphia Church of God members of the Davao City congregation and one visitor from the Quezon City congregation went for a family forest hike at Barangay Langub, Ma-a. At 470 feet above sea level, the area provided some a challenge and enjoyment.
The youngest hiker was three years old, and the oldest was 80 years old. As they hiked, they saw goats, cows and a dog, which was a special treat for Lukas, the youngest hiker. The group traveled nearly six kilometers (three and a half miles). After reaching their chosen destination, they had a picnic and talked for 45 minutes before hiking down the trail. During the fellowship, Local Elder Reniel Padua encouraged the group to aim for a longer distance on the next hiking activity to improve everyone’s overall health.
After the activity two senior members asked “when and where will be our next hiking activity?”
