The Furmanski family almost always has a batch of this in the fridge. It is a go-to spread for bread and crackers or as a base for meats and cheeses. It can even be mixed with a little oil and vinegar to form a great salad dressing.
Ingredients
- 9 oz of organic Garbanzo Beans (one 15.5 oz can - drained)
- ¼ cup tahini
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 clove of garlic
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp sea salt or pink salt
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper or any favorite hot pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend until you get a uniform texture. Add water in small amounts as needed to produce desired texture.
