PHILIPPINES—On the Fridays of December 23 and 30, Davao members held their fourth annual year-end food sale fundraiser at Davao Oriental selling cakes, fruits and drinks.

Despite the typhoon forecast, the weather was favorable for the food sale, with only light rain showers on the last day. This was the first year the group had drinks along with the food.

“It was quite challenging, but we learned a lot for next year. Last year we were able to advertise our products ahead, so it was easier,” said member Maria Elena Paradillo. “We also introduced new items this time so we now know better for next year.”

The activity raised $1,170.
