FLORIDA—On February 20, the Central Florida Spokesman Club held its mid-year ladies night event at the Green Door restaurant in Dade City, attended by Southeast Regional Director Wik Heerma, associate club director Joseph Short and his wife, Stacey, and assistant director Iain Harper and his wife, Natasha.
The meeting room echoed with voices as members dined on an appetizing brunch. Club Director Wik Heerma closed the club session with a lecture titled “How to Listen,” emphasizing four points: quiet the mind, empathize, ask questions, and reflect feelings and facts.
Carolina Furmanski said, “It is always enjoyable to go to club and see the growth of the men. It’s very admirable to see the commitment of some members driving over four hours to make it to club. Their sacrifice is paying off.”
Club member Johnathan Weese said, “The ladies event was wonderful, and it made the day extra-special having the ministry from all over the state and region come and enjoy the brunch with all of us.”
