ARKANSAS—The Northwest Arkansas congregation of the Philadelphia Church of God gathered for a picnic on October 24 at members David and Leona Davison’s hobby farm in southwest Missouri. The 25 members attending came from Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.
The potluck meal included fresh, all-natural hamburger raised on the Davison farm and other dishes provided by the members. Member Alan Baker noted with others that the meat was especially tasty. The group passed the time playing chess, Sorry, ping-pong, horseshoes, volleyball, and other indoor and outdoor games. Some of the ladies enjoyed picking up black walnuts from the pasture to take home and trying their hand at baking walnut pie. Ken Jefferies commented that he enjoyed the opportunity to visit with the members over a causal, fun-filled day.
