EDMOND—From July 9 to 29, 132 campers from Australia, Canada, England, the Netherlands, Peru, the United States and South Africa attended Philadelphia Youth Camp at the Philadelphia Church of God headquarters campus in Edmond, Oklahoma. For 33 of the teenagers, it was their first camp experience. Evangelist Stephen Flurry directed the camp, which had a theme of “Loyal and Royal,” which was highlighted in Bible, leadership and womanhood classes, as well as etiquette night dinners. The 13 campers in each of the 12 dorms participated in archery, basketball, canoeing, cycling, dance, flag football, soccer, softball, volleyball and water polo, as well as speech, track and field, water-skiing, Bible bowl, song-leading, camp dances and other activities. Finalist entries for the Teen Talent Contest were displayed in the lobby of Armstrong Auditorium for viewing by campers, workers, local members and visitors. This was the 26th summer of PYC in the United States since 1992.
