WASHINGTON—Twenty-one seniors from the Portland, Oregon, and Rathdrum, Idaho, congregations of the Philadelphia Church of God met at the home of Bruce and Vickie Young in Vancouver, Washington, on March 12 for games and a snack buffet. Local Church Elder Darren Verbout and his wife, Kim, also attended.
Entertainment included the trick-taking card game Pinochle, the dominoes contest Mexican Train, and the number tiles activity Rummikub.
“It was a fantastic event,” Oregon senior Jack Sanner said. “Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, but more importantly, we enjoyed each other.”
“Both the great weather and the warm fellowship made this an excellent event for everyone,” Washington senior Debbie Verbout said.
“This was a very relaxing event for us seniors,” event hostess Vickie Young said. “I hope we can do this again soon.”
