TRINIDAD—Forty-three members of the Trinidad congregation of the Philadelphia Church of God traveled back in time to the 1970s for a social on August 14 in Chaguanas, Trinidad.
Finger foods and background music paid tribute to the disco era, and most members donned clothing and wore hairstyles that were reminiscent of that decade. Dancers, singing groups and soloists provided entertainment throughout the afternoon. Musical chairs, a bran-tub event and a photo booth contributed to the event. Two people were recognized for the most authentic ‘70s apparel.
“It was a well put together event that was enjoyable to people of all ages,” single Vashish Sirjoosingh said.
“It was a blast from the past that left an impression that will last,” single Keith Moolchan said.
