Arkansas—Forty-six members from the central and northwest Arkansas congregations of the Philadelphia Church of God combined for a picnic with Regional Director Wik Heerma on May 15 at Petit Jean State Park.

The lower-70-degree temperatures were noticeably mild and comfortable for May, and under pleasant skies, members shared lively conversation, Frisbee, horseshoes, baseball, and hiking to Cedar Falls. Twelve youths, ranging in age from 3-16, took a hike to a nearby cave where they climbed rocks.

“The turtle rock was awesome,” 7-year-old Logan Chadwick said. “I liked taking pictures with people and seeing a snake.”

Member Sherry Hensley said, “We all had a great time and are looking forward to next year’s picnic.”
