EDMOND—The Moscow Festival Ballet twirled and leaped across the stage on January 25 and 26 for 1,034 total concertgoers at Armstrong Auditorium. Together, the performances were the fifth event of the 2015-2016 Armstrong International Cultural Foundation concert series. Performing Prokofiev’s Cinderella, then Tchaikovsky’s The Sleeping Beauty, the dancers depicted the unique stories of two princesses through displays of athleticism, poise and grace. Concert manager Ryan Malone called the lead male performer in The Sleeping Beauty “the most magnificently powerful dancer I have ever witnessed.” More information about the Moscow Festival Ballet is available on Mr. Malone’s January 18 Music for Life program. The 2015-2016 concert series next highlighted Mexican culture on February 4, with the energetic program of Mariachi los Camperos.
