EDMOND—Four Herbert W. Armstrong College students and one alumna visited the Checotah, Oklahoma, congregation of the Philadelphia Church of God on Dec. 26, 2015.
Approximately 15 members attend the newly formed congregation, while Armstrong graduate (’07) and staff member Robert Morley visits every other week if possible. Because of the small numbers, most members arrive early to help with setup.
Junior Albert Clarke said, “I love seeing the meeting room transform from a small, ordinary room into a venue for Sabbath services.”
After services, the congregation and students and stayed behind to converse and dine.
Sophomore Sarah Kimes said outreaches help build bonds that will be “already in place for when we work together with Christ in the World Tomorrow.”
