Alabama Congregation Raises Funds Amid Rising Heat
$1,200 and counting

ALABAMA—Twenty-eight Philadelphia Church of God members and children from the Birmingham congregation worked at a yard sale in Cullman on June 7 to raise funds for the work of the Church.

While the men built tables to display donated items, women and children sorted and priced items.

Before the volunteers and children finished setting up, the yard sale already had its first customers.

“It was well managed and had a nice turn out,” member Sue Hardin said.

Member John Hardin celebrated over the funds being raised and the pcg work that will benefit from the money, particularly Imperial Academy.

The total sales amounted to almost $1,200, although numbers are expected to rise after sales on eBay online auctions.

Member Linda Darrow said, “When God’s people come together, everything comes together.”
