CANADA—Fifty members from the Milton and London congregations gathered for a quiz night on Nov. 22, 2014.

“[Members] enjoyed a delicious potluck dinner, with loads of food inspired from different ethnic cultures,” Milton member Colleen Lovell said. A slideshow presentationduring the meal featuring photographs from various Feast sites around the world.

Following dessert, dinner tables turned into team tables for quiz night. Each table that ate together became a team for the quiz portion of the night. Team names and scores were projected onto a screen.

Quizmaster Kenneth Fehr read out each question on stage. A second screen showed a slide for each question with visual clues. There were seven question categories and one bonus round: geography, astronomy, botany, sports, music and composition, Ontario history and world history.

Each table worked together to answer each question. Whispers were heard throughout the room as players contemplated answers, which were kept on a secret ballot that was submitted for judging at the end of each round.

The panel of judges for the event included deacon Daniel Gauvreau, Gabrielle Haddad, Tyrel Schlote and Laskey Hart.

The quizzing broke for an intermission featuring a chocolate fountain. “The chocolate fountain was so delicious, and I loved dipping the marshmallows!” 12-year-old Shira Fuller from London said.

After the chocolate break, the second half of the quiz night began. “The Lefties” team (consisting of James and Karen Fuller, with their six children—Savana, Summer, Shira, Seven, Gideon and Galilee—as well as Local Elder David Weeks and his wife, Chelsey) earned the highest score, winning the event.
