25 Year Campus Anniversary: Mail Processing Center

Mail Processing Center

After a six-year lawsuit against the Worldwide Church of God, the Philadelphia Church of God obtained copyrights to Mystery of the Ages and 18 other books and booklets by Herbert W. Armstrong in March 2003, and with them the need to process larger volumes of mail, and to store and send larger quantities of literature. A 17,400-square-foot multipurpose Mail Processing Center was completed in April 2004. Its 9,000-square-foot commercial-grade warehouse provides space for up to 3 million books and booklets, and is used to store literature, periodicals, equipment and other items. Its loading dock facilitates sending and receiving pallet shipments from tractor trailers. The adjacent mail processing room houses mail packing stations, packing and postage equipment, a print shop, and a call center with about 20 stations where operators answer calls in response to The Key of David and other PCG media. On the second floor of the 37-foot-high structure is a 1,300 square-foot recording studio that originally served The Key of David television program, then KPCG programs and now The Trumpet Daily video podcast and audio recordings of PCG literature. The studio connects to a 70-foot FM radio broadcasting mast and antenna beside the building, which began airing KPCG radio programs on May 5, 2015.
