Jewish Performers Celebrate Israel at Armstrong Auditorium

OKLAHOMA—On June 30, three internationally acclaimed Israeli-born musicians performed at Armstrong Auditorium to celebrate the world-premiere of the exhibit “Kingdom of David and Solomon Discovered.” Inon Barnatan (piano), Itamar Zorman (violin) and Amit Peled (cello), presented a program titled “Uncovering Greatness” that featured composers and pieces honoring Jewish culture: Felix Mendelssohn, Leonard Bernstein, Paul Ben-Haim and Ernest Bloch.

The concert, which had been rescheduled from last year after the war in Israel delayed the opening of the exhibit, was attended by 340 patrons. The three performers were given an abridged tour of the exhibit prior to their performance. It was the last concert of the Armstrong International Cultural Foundation’s 2023-2024 season. The 2024-2025 season begins on September 12 with the GRAMMY award-winning soprano Renée Fleming.
