THE PHILIPPINES—Escaping to the cool climate of the summer capital of the Philippines, the La Union-Baguio Spokesman Club hosted its second ladies gala on May 31 at the Baguio Palace Hotel in Baguio City.
The 31 members, including Preaching Elders Broderick Tongco and Pedrito Cara, were present during the occasion with a theme of “Breaking Barriers.”
The event began with opening remarks from club vice president Raymond Dadd. The excitement continued into a thought-provoking table topics session, where members and their dates enthusiastically tackled a wide range of subjects related to the gala’s theme.
Mr. Cara evaluated the first half of the session, after which everyone enjoyed a sumptuous lunch and fellowship.
The second half of the occasion featured inspiring speeches from five club members. Afterward, Mr. Tongco delivered his evaluation on the speeches and announced the award winners before concluding with an inspiring lecture on the topic of giant-slaying leadership.
Club president Lemuel Cara said the gala was “a great success, bringing together inspiration, elegance and fun in one unforgettable event. The lively atmosphere and engaging speeches made the afternoon both enjoyable and memorable.”
