INDIANA—Sixty-four spokesmen, wives, guests and dates, ascended to the 26th floor of the PNC Building in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Sunday, June 14, for a year-end ladies’ gala event, combining the Marshall, Michigan, and Brookville, Ohio, clubs. The Marshall club has 12 members, while the Brookville club has 21 members. These members traveled from all over Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, to meet for this special event.
The club theme of “God’s Royal Leaders Flourishing With the Throne of David” was reflected in elevated and majestic views of the city and surrounding countryside. Many attendees commented on the quality of the venue, food, and service staff, with Marshall club president Mark Pozorski stating, “The venue really raised the standard from previous years.” His brother, Paul Pozorski, echoed this sentiment, saying “this venue is the best we’ve ever had.”
The meeting got off to a rousing start with an energetic and fast-paced topics session led by Brookville deacon Scott Flory. This was followed by a meal, then the master of ceremonies Joseph Hostetler introduced four royal speakers giving a variety of speeches: An add color, inspire, stir to action, and a graduate-level humor speech.
The afternoon concluded with club director and Northeast Regional Director Mr. Brian Davis admonishing everyone to “pick up a spiritual javelin and fight like Phineas.” In addition, Mr. Davis commented how “the most important aspect is the unity and the spirit of God’s people, which was exceptional as well.”
