AUSTRALIA—On July 28, 18 ministers, deacons and their wives from Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea (along with 16 on video conference from the Philippines) attended the 2024 deacons and elders meeting at the Asia-Oceania regional office near Brisbane. The theme was “Leadership and Spiritual Warfare.”

Local Elder Callum Wood said, “I came away with a greater sense of urgency, to think more like a wartime minister. The whole event ran smoothly and was very encouraging.”

Local Church Elder Andrew Kennedy said it was ”good spiritual meat in due season, exactly what we need for the times ahead.”

Deacon John Makrai said he “appreciated the leadership skills taught.”
