AUSTRALIA—Brisbane member Gloria Lamprecht has had a history of basal cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer. In September 2016 she developed a lump growing off her right jaw bone. Doctors diagnosed it as a melanoma, a malignant cancer. The only option doctors could offer her was to surgically cut out the melanoma, which meant possibly removing half her face in the process.

Mrs. Lamprecht was determined to trust God, and a minister anointed her for healing in September 2016, just prior to the Feast. She determined to do her part as well, and went on a natural diet cutting out all proteins and unhealthy carbohydrates. During and after the Feast, her face continued to swell. After about eight weeks, the melanoma had become quite enlarged and began to burst open, discharging black fluid.

Nurses had been visiting Mrs. Lamprecht several times per week as part of her palliative medical care. They had never seen such a discharge before and assumed that the cancer had invaded her carotid artery and that she was bleeding: They called an ambulance and sent her to the hospital.

The doctors also diagnosed the discharge as bleeding. A couple of days later, they said there was nothing more they could do and sent Mrs. Lamprecht home to be cared for by her daughter. They said she had about two weeks to live.

The dressings had to be changed five or six times a day due to the discharge. But two months later, not only was Mrs. Lamprecht very much alive, but the swelling had reduced considerably. Today, all signs of the cancer have almost healed, and her face is almost totally cleared up and back to normal.

Mrs. Lamprecht said that throughout this ordeal, she experienced no pain or lack of energy. She said that she is thankful to all the brethren who have been concerned for her and who have prayed for her, and that she is most thankful to the great God who is our only healer.
