Micah, a contemporary of the prophets Isaiah and Hosea, wrote his message around 750 b.c. What most people do not understand is that the primary emphasis in this book is on God’s own Church. This message, over 2,700 years old, gives us more understanding about the end-time Laodicean and Philadelphian churches. The greatest catastrophe in this end time is occurring inside God’s Church! Many members are losing their eternal lives. No crisis exceeds this one. Micah makes this very clear.
The name Micah means “who is like unto our God?” That meaning is interwoven with the theme of the entire book. We must have a proper love, respect and awe for the great Eternal God.
Micah’s primary message is to God’s Laodicean Church and the nations of Israel that do not have this respect for God. It also speaks of another end-time Church that does love, respect and revere God, and which consequently receives His revelation.
