Milton Spokesman Host Ladies Gala

CANADA—As Canada’s long winter finally drew to a close, 45 Milton Spokesman Club members, spouses, dates and guests celebrated the conclusion of the 2025-2026 season by attending a gala on March 8 at the Risposta Bistro in Campbellville, Ontario.

The event began with an extended table topics session, followed by five speeches: a “Get the Facts” speech, an “Instruct” speech and three graduate speech types. The Milton Spokesman Club consists of 22 men from the Milton, London and Hawkesbury congregations.

Club member Greg Bergsma and his wife traveled nine hours, round trip, that day to attend, and he said “it was worth every minute of the drive.”

“The venue was beautifully decorated, and you could tell that everyone was excited to be there,” said Emma Wilson, one of several to remark on the quality venue being befitting of a ladies gala. “I really enjoyed the additional fellowship we were able to have with one another, especially with those who were visiting from out-of-town.”

Shaun Spence said that he really “enjoyed watching growth in the spokesmen this year,” and that the gala really “depicted that growth in an elegant way.”

The event marked a year of growth and development for the club members, with a couple now being positioned to graduate in the coming club year.
