Hagerstown Club Holds Ladies Gala

WEST VIRGINIA—On June 29, the Hagerstown Spokesman Club had a formal Ladies Gala event at the Hauser Hill Event Center overlooking the flowing hills of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The theme for the year was “Royal Warriors of the House of David,” and this meeting had a leadership theme throughout, from the toastmaster program to the speeches and the final lecture. Four speeches were given on topics of listening techniques, leadership and George Washington’s early life.

Vice president Shawn Skinner said, “The venue had an unforgettable panorama. Being high on a hill made me think of King David looking down from his palace.”

In his closing lecture, Pastor Brian Davis focused on leadership and how we are learning and training now for our eternal offices. He gave the men three points involving having God’s love, having the humility to listen and asking God for wisdom every day.

Club president Antonius Hallmark said, “This royal club event was a huge success and certainly was one of the best I have ever attended. To be in a winery with a panoramic view of the mountainous terrain, surrounded by royal warriors of the house of David along with our lovely ladies, made this gala a spectacular event.”
