Seattle Members Hold End of Year Gala

SEATTLE—On June 8, the Philadelphia Church of God Seattle Spokesman Club celebrated their end of year gala facing the Cascade Mountains from the 31st floor at Ascend Prime Steak and Sushi. This location was just a few miles east of where Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong went on the air on the 1,000-watt station KRSC in Seattle. Gala attendees shared appetizers including duck foie mousseline and king salmon ceviche, participated in table topics and enjoyed speeches. Regional Director Cal Culpepper officiated the club and provided the end of year lecture.

Member Vickie Young said it was the most beautiful gala in all her 56 years of being in the Church of God and thanked all who made it happen. “What a wonderful, godly experience it was.”

Member Ellen Jameson said she was “impressed by the name of the restaurant, ‘Ascend,’” remembering that as God’s House was being built, Mr. Gerald Flurry said, “As the world is descending, God’s Church is ascending!” She said she felt “that we ascended to great heights at this best ever epic royal Spokesman Club Gala!”
