Dwight Armstrong Performing Arts Conservatory
Utility construction on the Dwight Armstrong Performing Arts Conservatory began Nov. 4, 2015, and staff members moved in for their first day of work on Aug. 25, 2016. On February 26, 2017, an open house was held for 102 members of the PCG and of the local community, including donors to the Armstrong International Cultural Foundation concert series. They heard music faculty members play on a recently purchased Steinway and Sons Model B grand piano. The pianos in the building, as well as in Armstrong Auditorium and in practice rooms at Barbara Flurry Memorial Hall, earned Herbert W. Armstrong College an “All-Steinway” institution certification in March 2022. The $1.15 million, 10,179 square foot, 17-room building serves the Church’s music department and dance department with a lecture hall, orchestra room, two dance studios, a classroom, four offices and other spaces.
