OHIO—On August 11, Philadelphia Church of God members came together in the Northeastern Ohio area for a fun-packed family picnic held at the home of Regional Director Brian Davis and his wife, Gwen.

The breeze was cool and the sun bright as members began to arrive with dishes, desserts and beverages. Several men grilled while ladies prepared the food to be served. Local Elder Calvin Culpepper and Preaching Elder Eric Burns surprised Mr. Davis by saying a few words honoring his 25 years of being ordained into the ministry. Both men reminisced on serving in God’s Work together. Member Alvin Ferris spoke firmly out of the crowd saying, “We love you, Mr. Davis,” which resonated with each member at the picnic.

The members played several games including volleyball, horseshoes, washers and cornhole. Throughout the afternoon, they cooled off in the sparkling pond and took hayrides to explore local scenery.
