TEXAS––Over 40 members from the Philadelphia Church of God congregation in Fort Worth gathered for their annual picnic on September 11th, 2022, at McPherson Park in Colleyville on a sunny yet cool Sunday. Kids and adults alike engaged in activities such as basketball scrimmages, board games, walks around the park, playground romps and energetic conversation.

The activities were followed by a cookout, with Deacon Jeffrey Miller and member Dave Rehberg manning the grills. After lunch, young and old engaged in a friendly game of beach volleyball and rounds of horseshoes. Youth members participated in a baseball clinic led by member Cristian Cohen. The picnic concluded with the teens who attended the Philadelphia Church of God youth camp in Edmond sharing lessons they learned from their summer experience at headquarters.

“I witnessed a lot of unity and a family atmosphere this year,” stated local member Nathan Jones.

Johnny Miller said, “God has provided with the weather, food, and fellowship this year. It’s amazing to see how God takes care of his people.”
