Filipinos Members Bead for Building Program
Beads, crafts and glue bond men, women and children

THE PHILIPPINES—Twenty members from the Bicol congregation of the Philadelphia Church of God attended a beaded craft-making class on July 26 at Romero’s Hall in Ligao City, Albay.

The activity, organized by member Emily Cara, was an extension of a similar activity held in Baguio City aimed at teaching ladies and children to do creative work, to both further their incomes and help raise funds for the building program.

“It takes patience from the very start to finish an output,” member Lourdes Besenio said.

While the ladies focused on the beads, deacon Noel Valenzuela, member Melchizedek Tongco and Preaching Elder Pedrito Cara cooked lunch.

Member Alexander Oloteo said, “The activity is quite challenging for me, because it involves creativity, pattern and design. … One day is not enough.”

One member inquired about another meeting in the future, which prompted Mrs. Cara to give individual assignments to the ladies for her next visit.

Later in the afternoon, everyone presented their finished products, took snapshots of their work, and took home their unfinished products for completion.
