EDMOND—kpcg radio is now accessible on five digital platforms: the new kpcg.fm website, iTunes, TuneIn, SoundCloud and Stitcher. Each platform possesses its own distinct method for delivering desired programming to listeners.
The new kpcg.fm is the most versatile option, offering live stream and the full program archives for The Key of David, Trumpet Daily Radio Show, Trumpet Hour and Music For Life. The site is optimized for users visiting it on their mobile devices, but kpcg does not currently offer a mobile app.
kpcg programs Music For Life, Trumpet Hour and Trumpet Daily Radio Show became available on-demand on iTunes June 16, joining The Key of David and The Trumpet Daily video podcast catalogs and The Key of David audio podcast. iTunes podcasts offer the simplest design of all the platforms.
Listeners can also use TuneIn, which streams live local radio programs anywhere in the world. Vejil said that audience members can conveniently “tune in” on most mobile devices. For now, the TuneIn app works more effectively than its website. Search ‘kpcg FM The Voice.’ TuneIn offers only the live stream and does not contain a program backlog.
SoundCloud allows users to select their favorite kpcg programs and offers them all in one list organized by date. The SoundCloud app does not play live radio, but it offers a seemingly endless selection of music genres and educational topics and displays a visually appealing Now Playing screen.
Stitcher may be the easiest app to navigate. The “My Front Page” tab offers programming tailored to the individual listener’s preferences. The “Favorites Playlist” holds a sizable archive of episodes for each selected radio program.
Besides the new digital options, kpcg radio still broadcasts over the air to a potential 60,000 Edmond residents at 101.3 FM on the local dial.
